Rev Chris Lawton (BATM)
Rev Chris Lawton (BATM) moved to be Rector of the six Parishes of Lower Wensleydale in 2017. St Gregory’s Crakehall has enjoyed strong and fruitful partnerships with its Church School and Chris is looking forward to continuing this tradition within the federation. With over a decade of full time Church Work, most of which has involved close links to Schools, Chris is passionate about our young people developing in character and having the opportunity to explore what personal and public faith offers in our changing society. As a father of four Boys, the youngest currently in Y6 at a local school, he brings both a parent and a Church voice to the governing body.
In his own time as a student he moved frequently and was only statemented as having Dyslexia and Dyspraxia just before his GCSE’s. Chris found school to be a challenging and uncomfortable place and is passionate that children not be hampered in their development because of different learning needs. Role(s): Foundation Governor
