Mr. Mike White


Mike White began his teaching career in 1995 and has spent the last 13 years in charge of Brompton-on-Swale CE Primary School, taking the additional reigns at Crakehall in 2017.  As well as having the role of Executive Headteacher, he has strategic responsibility for the Swaledale Alliance (a Teaching School Alliance) which takes up 1 day each week of his working time and also works as a National Leader of Education, supporting schools across North Yorkshire.  A keen sportsman, Mike spends much of his free time playing or coaching football and cricket alongside managing his other career as a father of two and husband!

Mrs Janette Stewart


Janette Stewart is currently the staff governor for Synergy Schools, as well as the EYFS teacher and SENCO at Crakehall. Janette has a Science Degree and completed a PGCE in 2001. Since then she has taught all year groups from EYFS to Year 6, in various mixed age combinations. She spent 10 years teaching in Kent before moving to North Yorkshire. During that time Janette was also a parent governor and staff governor, as well as a clerk to governors for 18 months.

Miss Lorna Middleton


Lorna Middleton has taught at Crakehall CE Primary School for the last two years, before taking on a teaching role at Brompton-on-Swale CE Primary School from September 2018. Lorna’s time at both schools has enabled her to build positive relationships with all members of staff. Her friendly and approachable nature makes it easy for other members of staff to talk to her and express their views. Staff morale is important to Lorna and she has organised many activities to keep this high, especially at busy times in the school calendar.
